The all-new 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness: Even a little wilder
The first Subaru to start the Wilderness revolution appeared in last year's 2021 Subaru Outback Wilderness launch. This was the first Subaru made for the really great beyond. It was also the first Subaru to enhance its off-road prowess with more ground clearance and a feisty turbocharged Subaru Boxer® engine. It had all-terrain tires plus Subaru's legendary Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive that helped define what an SUV was.
The 2022 Subaru BRZ: An affordable sports car that looks and acts expensive
The coming Subaru BRZ doesn't compromise its daring visual bravado and performance just to get its price down. Subaru has been able to put all the macho attitude you could ask for in a very reasonably-priced package. The center of gravity is low enough to help you hug the next curve and the new 228-horsepower naturally aspirated flat-four engine serves notice that you're not approaching today's drive timidly.
The Subaru BRZ is priced in the upper $20s/low $30's category, but you'd never know it looking at the authentically-styled Euro sports car exterior. You'd also have a hard time finding "low-priced" clues when checking out the interior. Technology is more up-to-date than you might expect and if you elect to skip the automatic transmission and go with the six-speed manual, you're going to look like you were born to drive a sports car.
A sneak preview of the 2023 Subaru Solterra
It's going to be an electric crossover in a compact form and the new Solterra EV launch will make it Subaru's first EV. All-wheel drive will come standard and the platform will be similar to the one used in Toyota's bZ4X. Driving range is estimated at 220 miles as you drive around Syracuse or Ithaca, NY, making it at least closer to the driving range in a gas-powered car between refueling stops. It will be a non-luxury model that fits Subaru's more pragmatic styling.
